Popular Indian travel influencer and photographer Anunay Sood was found dead in Las Vegas at the age of 32, according to reports from local authorities. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) confirmed they responded to a report of a dead body at the 3100 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard.
In a statement to Hindustan Times, police officials said, “Officers assisted the coroner and took a non-criminal/medical report,” without disclosing further details about the cause of death.
Sood, who was based in Dubai, had been in Las Vegas days before his death, as seen from his recent Instagram post where he shared photos of sports cars, captioned, “Still can’t believe I spent the weekend surrounded by legends and dream machines.”
Tributes have poured in across social media platforms, with fans and celebrities mourning the sudden loss of one of India’s most followed travel creators. Sood was featured in Forbes India’s Top 100 Digital Stars list for three consecutive years — 2022, 2023, and 2024 — and was well-known for his collaborations with National Geographic India, CN Traveller, and Lonely Planet India.
The cause of death remains under investigation by Las Vegas authorities.
