Symphony Ltd shares tumbled more than 7% after the air-cooling major reported disappointing financial results for the second quarter of FY2025, reflecting sluggish demand and weak seasonal sales. As of 12:30 PM, the shares were trading 6.21% lower at Rs 879.55.
The company posted a 66% year-on-year decline in net profit, which fell to ₹19 crore compared to ₹56 crore in the same quarter last year. Revenue from operations also dropped 44% YoY to ₹163 crore, down from ₹289 crore in Q2 FY2024, as consumer sentiment remained muted during the off-season for air coolers.
Operating performance also weakened sharply, with EBITDA plunging 69% YoY to ₹24 crore, against ₹77 crore in the previous year. The EBITDA margin contracted to 15%, compared to 26.6% a year ago.
