Shares of Asahi India Glass Ltd declined 5.16% to Rs 907.35 in early trade on Thursday following a sharp fall in quarterly profit for the September 2025 quarter (Q2 FY26).

The company reported a 40.77% year-on-year decline in net profit to Rs 56.55 crore in Q2 FY26, compared to Rs 95.48 crore in the same quarter last year.
Revenue from operations fell 1.03% to Rs 1,141.61 crore, down from Rs 1,153.50 crore in Q2 FY25.

Operating profit margin (OPM) declined to 16.47% from 18.42% last year, while profit before depreciation and tax (PBDT) dropped 26% year-on-year to Rs 139.55 crore. Profit before tax (PBT) fell by 50% to Rs 70.57 crore compared to Rs 140.91 crore in the corresponding period last year.
