Britannia Industries Limited has announced the appointment of Mr. Rakshit Hargave as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director for a term of five years. His appointment, approved by the Board on November 5, 2025, will take effect from December 15, 2025, the date of his joining.
Mr. Hargave brings decades of experience in the FMCG and consumer industries. Before joining Britannia, he served as CEO of Birla Opus, the paints venture of the Aditya Birla Group. Earlier, he led Beiersdorf’s (NIVEA) business in ASEAN and ANZ regions and was also the Managing Director of Nivea India. His previous roles include leadership positions at Hindustan Unilever, Kimberly Clark Lever, Lakme Lever, and Jubilant Foodworks, where he played a key role in launching Domino’s Pizza’s iconic “30-minute delivery” model.
An alumnus of IIT Varanasi (Electrical Engineering) and FMS Delhi (MBA), Mr. Hargave has been recognized with the Distinguished Young Alumni Award from IIT Varanasi.
The appointment will be subject to shareholder approval through a postal ballot to be circulated shortly. The company confirmed that Mr. Hargave is not related to any existing directors and not debarred by SEBI or any other authority from holding a directorial position.
