Tata Communications, in partnership with Real Madrid and Switzerland-based Footballerista, has launched the Madridista Premium loyalty programme in India, marking a significant push to deepen the Spanish club’s fan engagement in one of its fastest-growing global markets.
As part of the collaboration, the companies aim to engage over 22 million Indian fans and 11 official fan clubs across the country, offering exclusive access to Real Madrid digital content, merchandise, and community features.
Through this initiative, fans in India will gain access to the club’s digital ecosystem, personalised fan services and local engagement opportunities. Tata Communications will support the programme through its digital connectivity solutions and Tata Communications MOVE, providing communication channels directly linking fans with the club.
Footballerista will operate as a customer-facing partner, driving fan onboarding and engagement through curated campaigns and interactive experiences.
Emilio Butrageño, Institutional Relations Director at Real Madrid, said the partnership will “bring the spirit of the Bernabéu to India,” enabling the club to further expand its digital connection with fans in the country. The initiative is positioned as a step toward building a stronger global football community and fostering the sport’s growth in India.
