Chemtech Industrial Valves Ltd has announced a key milestone with the supply of 100 patented Line Blinds across major steel plants in India, just two years after receiving its patent. The company notified the exchange that the achievement marks a significant leap in industrial safety and gas-line isolation technology.
According to the company, the patented Line Blind technology has been deployed across pipelines ranging from DN 100 mm to DN 600 mm, with expansion already underway to serve larger diameters up to DN 900 mm and further development planned up to DN 1500 mm. The innovation is being widely adopted in industries managing hazardous gases such as coke oven gas, mixed gas, blast furnace gas, LD (BOF) gas and nitrogen, with a key focus on zero leakage and personnel safety.
Chemtech said its tool-free Line Blind system cuts line-blanking time by up to 95%, reduces manpower requirements, ensures full isolation, and enhances workplace safety — especially in high-risk environments like steel plants. The company highlighted repeat orders and greenfield project installations, including supplies to a major blast furnace project, as proof of strong customer confidence.
The Thane-based valve manufacturer, founded in 1997, said it is now targeting adoption across ports, oil & gas, chemicals, marine, fertilizer and power sectors, while working on scaling its design for larger and high-pressure pipelines.
“Repeat demand from satisfied customers underscores product success,” the release noted, emphasising faster downtime turnaround, improved safety and ease of operation.
Chemtech, which operates a manufacturing facility near Mumbai, aims to leverage this momentum to scale globally and expand industrial safety solutions for critical pipeline applications.
