Paris Saint-Germain have received a much-needed boost regarding the fitness of rising star Désiré Doué, whose injury scare during the 1-1 draw against Lorient last to last night initially sparked major concern. The French winger was stretchered off the pitch in visible pain after sustaining what appeared to be a serious injury to his right thigh.
However, according to reports from RMC and updates from Live Here We Go, medical tests conducted this morning have confirmed that the injury is less serious than initially feared. Doué has suffered a muscle injury in his right thigh, but early assessments suggest he could return to action before the end of the year or, at the latest, by January 2026.
The 19-year-old, who has quickly established himself as one of PSG’s most exciting young talents since his summer move, went down midway through the second half against Lorient following a sprint down the flank. Despite PSG’s dominance in possession, the match ended in a frustrating 1-1 draw, with Doué’s injury overshadowing the result.
