Reliance Industries Limited has announced a strategic partnership with Google to accelerate AI adoption across India. As part of the agreement, Jio users will receive 18 months of Google AI Pro access free of charge, a plan valued at ₹35,100 per user, according to a company filing.

The offer will initially roll out to 18- to 25-year-old Jio users on unlimited 5G plans, before expanding nationwide. It includes access to Gemini 2.5 Pro, enhanced image and video generation limits, NotebookLM, and 2TB Cloud storage.

The partnership also includes collaboration on advanced AI hardware accelerators (TPUs) to support India’s sovereign compute capacity and large-scale AI model development. In addition, Reliance Intelligence will serve as a go-to-market partner for Google Cloud to expand Gemini Enterprise adoption among Indian businesses.

Mukesh Ambani said the partnership aims to help “make India not just AI-enabled but AI-empowered,” while Sundar Pichai noted this builds on joint efforts to democratise digital access in India.
