Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS), a global leader in IT services, consulting, and business solutions, has entered into a five-year strategic partnership with Tata Motors to accelerate the automaker’s sustainability initiatives. The collaboration centers around Prakriti, Tata Motors’ new sustainability platform powered by the AI-driven TCS Intelligent Urban Exchange™ (IUX), designed to digitize ESG data and deliver actionable sustainability insights.

With Prakriti, Tata Motors aims to move from manual sustainability reporting to a fully automated, data-driven system that supports real-time ESG monitoring, regulatory compliance, and analytics. The platform will enable seamless emissions computation, carbon accounting, circularity tracking, biodiversity management, and sustainability risk assessment—empowering Tata Motors to achieve measurable environmental impact across its operations and plants.

TCS played a crucial role in co-developing and configuring the Prakriti platform in alignment with Tata Motors’ operational and sustainability requirements. Leveraging its deep expertise in AI, analytics, and digital transformation, TCS has built a unified ESG data architecture that ensures transparency, compliance, and accountability.

Tata Motors, India’s leading automotive and mobility solutions brand, has made sustainability a central pillar of its long-term strategy. The company is committed to achieving net-zero emissions by 2040 for passenger vehicles and by 2045 for commercial vehicles. It continues to pioneer initiatives in circular economy practices, nature preservation, and biodiversity conservation.

Through this partnership, Tata Motors is also looking to extend its sustainability strategy across its supply chain ecosystem. The collaboration will ensure compliance with SEBI’s Business Responsibility and Sustainability Reporting (BRSR) framework and align with global ESG standards.
