EaseMyTrip has secured a major government project in Punjab, with the travel-tech company winning the mandate to oversee pilgrimage travel for more than 2 lakh devotees under the Mukh Mantri Tirth Yatra Yojana. The initiative has been launched by the Punjab government to facilitate organised pilgrim travel from Bathinda constituencies to Amritsar over the next 12 months.

The programme was formally inaugurated by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann at Dhuri, marking the rollout of the state’s faith-tourism initiative. As part of the mandate, EaseMyTrip will operate and manage curated pilgrimage tours for devotees visiting the Golden Temple and other key religious sites in Amritsar.

Rikant Pittie, CEO and Co-Founder of EaseMyTrip, said the partnership reflects the company’s commitment to enabling meaningful travel experiences through technology-led support systems. He added that the firm’s specialised pilgrimage vertical, EasyDarshan, will execute the yatra plan, ensuring seamless coordination, safety, and comfort for all travellers.

The company said the project reinforces its role in supporting large-scale public initiatives aimed at cultural preservation and community upliftment, while leveraging its operational expertise and travel-tech infrastructure.
