NLC India Limited (NLCIL), the Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Coal, reported its highest-ever half-yearly revenue from operations for the first half of FY26, marking a 13.77% year-on-year (YoY) increase to Rs 8,004.02 crore compared to Rs 7,035.50 crore in the same period last year.
Key financial highlights (H1 FY26)
- Revenue from operations: Rs 8,004.02 crore, up 13.77% YoY
- Profit after tax (PAT): Rs 1,564.01 crore, up 0.96% YoY
- EBITDA: Rs 3,190.17 crore, up 0.61% YoY
- Net worth: Rs 19,965.62 crore, up 12.35% YoY
Operational milestones
During the quarter, the company achieved significant progress in both conventional and renewable segments:
- Coal production rose 25.6% YoY to 74.87 lakh tonnes (from 59.61 LT).
- Gross power generation stood at 13,375.87 million units (MU), including 1,126.53 MU from renewable sources.
- The first phase (52.83 MW) of its 300 MW Barsingsar Solar Project in Rajasthan was commissioned, increasing NLCIL’s total power generation capacity to 6,783.89 MW, of which 1,483.89 MW is renewable energy.
NLCIL also achieved oil synchronization of Unit-2 (660 MW) of the Ghatampur Thermal Power Project in Uttar Pradesh. Additionally, the company signed MoUs with BARC for extracting rare earth elements from fly ash and with KABIL for collaboration on global mineral projects.
Awards and recognitions
NLCIL became the first CPSE in India to be awarded the International Project Management Association (IPMA) Delta Certification – Level 3 (Standardized).
The company continues to align with the Government’s “Make in India” and “Atmanirbhar Bharat” initiatives through capacity expansion and technological collaboration.
