Finolex Industries Limited and its CSR arm, Mukul Madhav Foundation (MMF), have completed five impactful years of their flagship initiative, ‘Give with Dignity™’, a nationwide movement rooted in compassion and community empowerment.
What began as a pandemic relief effort in 2020 has evolved into a large-scale social campaign that celebrates the spirit of giving by empowering vulnerable communities to celebrate festivals with dignity and joy.
Since 2020, Team Finolex and MMF have moved away from traditional festive gifting to instead channel those resources toward communities often left behind — including rickshaw drivers, daily wage earners, people with disabilities, farmers, and members of the transgender and tribal communities across India.
The initiative collaborates with self-help groups (SHGs), MSMEs, and women entrepreneurs to source, assemble, and distribute region-specific festive and hygiene kits. Each kit includes locally sourced essentials and handcrafted diyas made by people with disabilities, embodying the campaign’s ethos of “Buy Local, Give Local.” In its fifth edition, 10,000 kits were distributed across 11 states — from Maharashtra and Gujarat to Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and West Bengal — sustaining both livelihoods and dignity.
Over five years, ‘Give with Dignity™’ has touched the lives of over three lakh individuals across 24 states, with the support of corporates, donors, and NGOs. The initiative has also helped revive 120 SHGs through procurement and assisted 30 SHGs in registering as MSMEs, creating lasting economic ripple effects.
“Over the past five years, Diwali has not just been about distributing kits; we have been sharing hope, respect, and the warmth of human kindness. Our goal is to ensure that the festival’s joy reaches every corner of society — especially those who are often overlooked. This initiative embodies our belief that true celebration lies in uplifting others and spreading light where it is needed most. I thank the corporates, retail donors, and on-ground partners who came forward to join hands in the midst of the pandemic and displayed how collaboration can move mountains. I remain grateful to the Finolex Management and Board of Directors for continuing to support this vision that began during the pandemic in 2020. Each year, the campaign reminds us that compassion can spark change far beyond what we imagine, creating ripples of unity and dignity across communities,” said Mrs. Ritu Prakash Chhabria, Managing Trustee, Mukul Madhav Foundation.
Now in its fifth year, ‘Give with Dignity™’ stands as a symbol of hope, compassion, and collaboration — reflecting Finolex Industries’ and Mukul Madhav Foundation’s shared commitment to building resilient communities through sustained work in healthcare, education, water conservation, and social welfare.
