Bata India Limited reported its financial results for the quarter ended September 30, 2025 (Q2 FY26), registering a decline in both revenue and profitability.
The company’s revenue from operations stood at ₹801.3 crore, down 4.3% year-on-year compared to ₹837.1 crore in the same quarter last year. Sequentially, revenue also declined from ₹941.9 crore in Q1 FY26.
Total income for the quarter was ₹822.8 crore, compared to ₹854.9 crore in the corresponding period last year.
On the profitability front, profit before tax (PBT) stood at ₹19.3 crore, compared to ₹70.1 crore in the previous quarter and ₹69.8 crore in Q2 FY25. After accounting for taxes, net profit for the quarter came in at ₹13.9 crore, marking a sharp 73.2% decline year-on-year from ₹51.9 crore in the same period last year.
The decline in profits was primarily attributed to lower sales and higher input costs. Employee benefit expenses were ₹111.4 crore, while depreciation and amortisation stood at ₹105 crore.
For the half year ended September 30, 2025, Bata reported revenue of ₹1,743.2 crore and net profit of ₹65.9 crore, compared to ₹1,781.8 crore and ₹226 crore, respectively, in the previous year.
