MIC Electronics Limited has announced that it has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Chipex Technologies Private Limited to collaboratively design and develop custom semiconductor solutions. The move marks a strategic step toward strengthening MIC’s product roadmap and enhancing its long-term competitiveness in the global electronics market.

Under this MoU, MIC Electronics, acting as the OEM Partner, and Chipex Technologies, as the Chip Development Partner, will jointly identify, define, and create tailor-made silicon solutions aligned with MIC’s product portfolio. This collaboration aims to reduce dependency on standard off-the-shelf components and instead use co-developed custom chips designed to deliver superior performance, energy efficiency, and product differentiation.

According to the company, this partnership will enable MIC to achieve:

  • Enhanced product differentiation through proprietary chip architectures

  • Improved system performance and optimized energy efficiency

  • Long-term supply assurance and greater design ownership

The agreement does not involve any shareholding or related party transactions, and there are no special rights or capital structure changes associated with the MoU. The companies will define project-specific deliverables, responsibilities, and commercial terms through subsequent Statements of Work (SOWs).
