It’s been a physically draining outing for the Indian players at the Adelaide Oval, as Harshit Rana became the second Indian cricketer to struggle with cramps during Australia’s chase in the 2nd ODI.

After Arshdeep Singh was seen stretching at the boundary line earlier, Rana too went down in visible discomfort after completing his 7th over, prompting the physio to rush out. The right-arm pacer, who had earlier dismissed Matthew Short and Travis Head, has bowled with intensity throughout, clocking over 135 kmph consistently.

At the time of the incident, Rana had figures of 7.3-0-58-2, and Australia were 215/5 in 39.3 overs, needing 50 runs off 63 balls to win. The heat and long spells appear to have taken a toll on the Indian fast bowlers, who have been on the field for more than 39 overs in humid conditions.

Rana tried to continue his over but cramped up again after delivering a short wide ball, forcing a brief halt in play. Despite the pain, he stayed on to finish his spell, showcasing his resilience in a high-pressure game.

At 39.4 overs: Australia 215/5 | India lead by 50 runs to defend | Harshit Rana – 2 wickets, visibly battling cramps.
