Adani Enterprises, through its joint venture AdaniConneX, has joined hands with Google to develop India’s largest AI data centre campus along with cutting-edge green energy infrastructure in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. This landmark partnership represents a massive investment of approximately USD 15 billion over five years (2026-2030) and is set to transform India’s digital and AI landscape.
The Google AI hub in Visakhapatnam will feature gigawatt-scale data centre operations supported by a robust subsea cable network and clean energy solutions. Developed in collaboration with AdaniConneX and ecosystem partners such as Airtel, the hub will provide world-class infrastructure to handle India’s most demanding AI workloads.
A key focus of the project is sustainability. The partnership includes co-investment in new transmission lines, clean energy generation, and innovative energy storage systems in Andhra Pradesh. These initiatives will not only power the data centre but also strengthen India’s electricity grid, enhancing both resilience and capacity.
Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, stated, “This is more than an investment in infrastructure; it is an investment in the soul of a rising nation. Visakhapatnam is set to become a global destination for technology, and we are thrilled to lead this monumental journey.”
Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian added, “The Google AI hub will unlock India’s massive potential in the AI age, providing businesses, researchers, and creators with the performance, security, and scalability to innovate and thrive globally.”
The project is expected to create tens of thousands of jobs in technology, construction, and clean energy, driving digital inclusivity and economic growth in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, and across India.
