Asian Paints Ltd has officially announced the commencement of commercial production at its white cement manufacturing facility in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates (UAE). The production began today through its wholly owned subsidiary, Asian White Inc. FZE, marking a major step in the company’s global expansion strategy.
This development follows Asian Paints’ earlier announcements regarding its plan to enter the white cement and clinker manufacturing segment with an initial capacity of 2,65,000 tons per annum. The business is being operated under Asian White Cement Holding Limited (AWCHL), a joint venture incorporated in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), with Asian White Inc. FZE handling operations in the Fujairah Free Zone.
The new venture aims to strengthen Asian Paints’ international presence and diversify its product portfolio beyond decorative paints and coatings. By setting up operations in the UAE, the company also targets growth in exports, catering to increasing global demand for white cement and clinker.
With this strategic move, Asian Paints positions itself as a stronger player in the construction materials segment while enhancing its brand footprint in international markets.
