VinFast Auto India has taken a significant step toward enhancing its electric vehicle (EV) customer experience by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Castrol India Limited, a leading premium lubricant and automotive service provider. This collaboration aims to deliver reliable, accessible, and high-quality after-sales support for VinFast EV owners across India, reinforcing the company’s long-term commitment to building a trusted service ecosystem.
Under the agreement, selected outlets from Castrol’s expansive Castrol Auto Service (CAS) network, which spans over 750 workshops in more than 300 cities, will be made available to VinFast customers. These service centers will feature dedicated VinFast-branded bays, certified EV technicians, and genuine VinFast parts, ensuring that owners receive professional and consistent care for their electric vehicles.
VinFast will provide service manuals, diagnostic tools, and training, along with warranty coverage processes, while Castrol India will ensure that all workshops meet the required infrastructure and capability standards. This partnership leverages Castrol’s expertise in advanced automotive service protocols and its digitally integrated workshop ecosystem, offering customers transparency, convenience, and a seamless service experience at every touchpoint.
With Castrol’s extensive footprint, VinFast can now offer broad and convenient after-sales care, further enhancing customer confidence in its EV offerings.
VinFast’s commitment to India’s EV landscape goes beyond after-sales service. The company recently inaugurated its first overseas assembly plant in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, with an initial production capacity of 50,000 vehicles per year, scalable to 150,000 units. This initiative is set to generate thousands of direct jobs in the region.
In addition to local manufacturing, VinFast has partnered with leading dealer groups to establish 35 dealerships across 27 cities by the end of 2025, ensuring easy access to vehicles and services for Indian customers. With the launch of its premium EV SUVs, VF 6 and VF 7, the company is building a comprehensive service backbone that guarantees the same level of confidence, convenience, and care its vehicles represent.
