Thomas Cook (India) Limited, the country’s leading omnichannel forex services provider, has announced a first-of-its-kind partnership with Blinkit to deliver its Borderless Travel Card and Study Buddy forex cards to customers within minutes.

The initiative, unveiled on September 25, 2025, marks the first time a forex service provider in India has integrated with a quick commerce platform to provide such rapid doorstep delivery. Initially rolled out in Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, the service is expected to expand to more cities in a phased manner.

The collaboration is designed to simplify what has traditionally been a time-consuming process. Customers can now order a blank forex card via Blinkit, complete their KYC and payment through Thomas Cook’s secure process, and have their card activated and loaded—all within an hour.

Deepesh Varma, Executive Vice President – Foreign Exchange at Thomas Cook India, said the move redefines travel readiness for customers: “By offering our blank forex cards via Blinkit, our trusted distribution partner, we are not only enhancing convenience but also redefining travel readiness — enabling customers to be fully equipped within minutes, right at their doorstep.”

Blinkit, formerly known as Grofers, has seen quick commerce demand skyrocket, growing from $300 million in 2022 to $7.1 billion in FY25, and is projected to hit $35 billion by 2030. The tie-up comes just ahead of the festive travel season, giving leisure and student travellers faster access to foreign exchange.
