Chennai Super Kings won the toss and opted to bat first. Just like the last few matches, CSK has not had the best start. They lost Watson and Faf very cheaply which meant Sam Curran had to anchor the innings. Opposite to what the management would have wanted Curran lost his wicket too, Rayudu wasn’t much effective either. The whole bowling unit of RR was very impactful and Shreyas Gopal was very economical in his spell and picked a wicket as well.

After Jadeja and MS Dhoni tried to build a partnership, the skipper succumbed to a run-out as well. CSK has been unable to score an at par score which means their bowling department has to do wonders to win this match. After 20 overs CSK’s scoreboard read
125 at the loss of 5 wickets.
