Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso has firmly dismissed speculation surrounding Vinicius Junior’s future at the club, insisting he remains fully committed to the Brazilian forward. Speaking after recent rumours hinted at a possible exit for Vinicius, Alonso clarified that he is “very happy” with the player and urged him to stay focused on the season ahead.
“I’m very happy with Vini, for sure,” Alonso told reporters. “He has to continue working hard as he’s doing, the season has just started.”
The Madrid boss also acknowledged the emotional side of the game, referencing Vinicius’ visible frustration after being substituted in a recent match. “I’ve been a player, I know the feeling when you get subbed off… but I am very happy with Vini,” Alonso added.
The 24-year-old forward, who has been one of Madrid’s standout performers in recent years, has occasionally shown signs of frustration when withdrawn from games.
