The Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited (G E Shipping) on Monday announced that it has taken delivery of a 2015-built Kamsarmax Dry Bulk Carrier named Jag Amol, with a capacity of about 81,843 dwt. The vessel, which the company had contracted to purchase in Q2 FY26, has been fully financed through internal accruals.

Following this acquisition, the company’s owned fleet now stands at 39 vessels, comprising 26 tankers (including five crude carriers, 17 product tankers, and four LPG carriers) and 13 dry bulk carriers, aggregating 3.13 million dwt.

In addition to this, the company disclosed that during Q2 FY26, it has contracted to buy one secondhand Kamsarmax dry bulk carrier and one secondhand Suezmax crude tanker, while also contracting to sell one secondhand Suezmax crude tanker. These three transactions are expected to conclude by Q3 FY26.

The acquisition marks another step in G E Shipping’s strategy to strengthen and optimize its fleet, ensuring operational scale and flexibility across global trade routes.
