Dubai, September 21 – Pakistan lost their second wicket in the Super Four clash against India after Saim Ayub (21 off 17 balls) was dismissed by Shivam Dube.
Dube delivered a short ball that Ayub attempted to pull, only to get a top edge. Abhishek Sharma, who had earlier dropped a couple of chances, made amends with a brilliant diving catch. The youngster roared in celebration after holding on, giving India a much-needed breakthrough.
At the time of dismissal, Pakistan were 93/2 in 10.3 overs, with Sahibzada Farhan batting on 53*.
This wicket broke a dangerous 72-run stand between Farhan and Ayub, who had been scoring at a brisk rate.
