Dubai, September 21 — India’s fielding woes continued in the high-stakes clash against Pakistan, with frequent dropped catches already in the first 10 overs. This performance has further dented their catching efficiency in the Asia Cup 2025.
As per the latest stats, India’s catching efficiency now stands at 71.4%, making them the third-lowest among participating teams. Only Sri Lanka (64.7%) and Hong Kong (52.1%) have fared worse.
Against Pakistan, the dropped chances have already proved costly, with Sahibzada Farhan and Saim Ayub capitalising on reprieves to stitch together a dangerous stand.
