Sterling Holiday Resorts Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Thomas Cook (India) Limited, announced the launch of its new property, Sterling Darshan Guruvayur, on September 18, 2025. This marks its second resort in the sacred temple town of Guruvayur and strengthens the brand’s presence in Kerala with its 11th resort in the state.
Strategically located near the iconic 5,000-year-old Sri Krishna Temple, the resort features 30 rooms, authentic Kerala cuisine at Annapoorani Restaurant, and curated cultural and spiritual experiences. With this addition, Sterling now becomes the national brand with the largest number of keys in Guruvayur, offering pilgrims and cultural explorers an expanded range of options.
The property also doubles as the largest wedding venue in the town, with a spacious Kalyan Mandapam accommodating up to 300 guests, making it a premier destination for both traditional ceremonies and large social gatherings.
“With Sterling Darshan Guruvayur, we are deepening our footprint in one of India’s most revered pilgrimage destinations,” said Vikram Lalvani, MD & CEO of Sterling Holiday Resorts. “Keeping in line with the increasing trend for spiritual tourism, we will continue to expand our presence in heritage destinations across the country.”
The company’s growing footprint in pilgrimage destinations highlights a shift toward blending spirituality with hospitality. With over 64 resorts across 55 destinations, Sterling continues to cater to leisure, cultural, and MICE travel, reinforcing Thomas Cook (India)’s integrated travel strategy under Fairfax Financial Holdings.
