Allied Blenders and Distillers Limited (BSE: 544203, NSE: ABDL) announced on Thursday that the Rs 14.98 crore tax demand raised by the Office of the Assistant Commissioner of State Tax, Thane Rural Division, Bhayandar, has been extinguished.
The demand, originally raised on September 2, 2025, under the Central Sales Tax Act, 1956 for financial years 2020–21 through 2023–24, was attributed to the non-availability of C/F Forms. The company clarified that the required forms were subsequently received and filed as part of its appeal before the Deputy Commissioner of State Tax (App.), Thane Rural Division.
On September 17, 2025, the company received the order on its appeal, confirming that the previously raised demand no longer stands.
The company emphasized that this development brings closure to the matter and eliminates any potential liability arising from the earlier assessment.
