Concord Control Systems Limited (CNCRD), one of India’s leading manufacturers of embedded electronic systems and advanced safety solutions, has announced that it has secured an order worth ₹19.45 crore for Kavach 4.0 through its associate company, Progota India Private Limited. The order marks an important step toward the large-scale implementation of next-generation railway safety systems across the Indian Railways network.

As part of the project, Progota India will oversee the design, development, supply, installation, trials and commissioning of onboard Kavach equipment in locomotives along with trackside equipment for the South Central Railway. This development not only highlights the company’s technological leadership but also reinforces its position as one of the very few railway firms to have a fully developed and approved Kavach system ready for supply.

The Kavach 4.0 platform developed by Concord Control Systems has already moved through Indian Railways’ rigorous approval process. It has successfully achieved product approval and completed the initial stages of SiL4 third-party certification. Nearly 70 percent of this demanding certification process is already done, with the remaining milestones expected to align with the upcoming trial phases. With these approvals, the company is firmly positioned ahead of most competitors in terms of compliance and readiness.
