The Russian Defense Ministry on Saturday said its air defense systems intercepted 42 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) overnight.
According to the ministry, 15 drones were destroyed over Rostov, 12 over Belgorod, and 10 over Volgograd. Two UAVs were downed over Crimea, while one each was neutralized over Kaluga, Kursk, and Smolensk regions.
The ministry did not report any casualties or major damage from the overnight strikes. The wave of drone attacks comes amid continued hostilities as both sides intensify cross-border operations.
