New video footage from Utah Valley University has raised questions about a possible rooftop sighting of the suspected shooter who killed conservative commentator Charlie Kirk on Wednesday night.
The clip, filmed from inside one of the university’s buildings, shows hundreds of attendees scrambling for cover after a gunshot interrupted Kirk’s campus appearance. As the crowd dropped to the ground, a faint dark outline could be seen moving across the roof of a building overlooking the quad.

As per reports, earlier footage from the same area appeared to capture a figure lying flat on that rooftop in the moments before the shooting. Witnesses nearby can be heard reacting with alarm, pointing out what they believed was a person in position above the event.
Kirk was shot while responding to a question about gun violence in the United States. The single bullet proved fatal, and panic spread quickly through the audience of more than 3,000 people.
Investigators are now reviewing the rooftop video, though authorities have not confirmed whether it shows the gunman or another individual. The footage is circulating widely online as the search for answers continues in the wake of the deadly campus shooting.
