Choreographer and influencer Dhanashree Verma, who has been in the spotlight following her divorce from Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal, is now making headlines for her appearance in the upcoming reality show Rise & Fall. The show, hosted by Ashneer Grover, will stream on Amazon MX Player from September 6, 2025 and features 16 celebrity contestants including Arjun Bijlani, Kiku Sharda, and Kubbra Sait.

In the first episode, Dhanashree is seen saying, “Who doesn’t want money,” a remark that instantly caught attention online. Many viewers interpreted it as a subtle reference to her ongoing public spat with ex-husband Chahal, especially after months of speculation and indirect digs exchanged between the two.

The couple officially divorced in March 2025, just before the start of the IPL season, though reports suggest they had been living separately since June 2022. While they initially maintained silence, both have recently made pointed remarks in public.

Chahal earlier drew attention after wearing a “Be your own sugar daddy” T-shirt and later clarifying his stance on a podcast. Responding to this, Dhanashree said in a conversation with Humans of Bombay: “Even though we were mentally prepared, I got so emotional. I started howling in front of everybody. I just kept crying. And he (Chahal) walked out first. Before I even knew about this T-shirt stunt, we were all aware that people were going to blame me for the divorce. You know that people are going to target the woman in these situations.”

Dhanashree’s candid moment in the Rise & Fall teaser now adds another layer to the ongoing narrative between her and Chahal. With the show set to test contestants’ endurance and resilience, her presence is expected to be one of the most talked-about elements this season.
