Entrepreneur and Rise & Fall host Ashneer Grover has reignited his long-running feud with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, taking an indirect dig at him and his reality show Bigg Boss.
Ashneer’s latest remark
While promoting his newly launched reality show Rise & Fall, Grover remarked, “Chaplusi wala game dusra hai,” seen as a subtle jibe at the dynamics inside Bigg Boss. His comment is being linked to his past differences with Salman, where he has accused the actor of stirring unnecessary drama for television ratings.
What happened on Bigg Boss 18
Grover’s tensions with Salman date back to Bigg Boss 18, where the actor confronted him over remarks made during a 2023 appearance on the Vagehra Vagehra podcast. At the time, Grover had shared that he was once denied a photo opportunity with Salman — a story he later apologized for.
On Bigg Boss 18, Salman addressed the issue directly: “I don’t feel bad about all these things. It’s just that when you give a wrong impression to someone about a person, that’s not right. Later, it will bite you itself.”
He further said: “Mujhe toh aapka naam bhi nahi pata tha. Lekin jab aapki woh jo video dekhi thi toh aapke shakal mere saamne aaya tha.” He also advised Grover, “I’m just saying you should be careful with how you present yourself, even when we are not there.”
Grover’s counterattack
Following that heated exchange, Grover has remained vocal about his criticism of the Bigg Boss format. Recently, while launching Rise & Fall, he reiterated that Salman’s comments were aimed at creating television drama rather than addressing any genuine issue. His “chaplusi” remark has once again placed him in the spotlight, drawing sharp comparisons between the two reality show formats.
