Jadon Sancho has completed his move to Aston Villa on loan until the end of this newly started season (2025/26). Manchester United didn’t want the player and even Sancho didn’t want to play for the Red Devils. Aston Villa contacted Sancho a day before the deadline day, and the deal was materialised on the last few minutes. Sancho has revealed that Marcus Rashford was the one who influenced him to join Villa. Rashford joined Barcelona this summer and both the player has left United now.
Jadon Sancho has officially completed a sensational loan move to Aston Villa until the end of the 2025/26 season. The winger, who had fallen out of favor at Manchester United, made it clear he had no desire to continue at Old Trafford, while United themselves were unwilling to keep him.
Aston Villa entered the race just a day before deadline day and managed to finalize the deal in the dying minutes of the transfer window. Sancho revealed that it was former teammate Marcus Rashford, who had a brief loan spell at Villa Park last season before joining Barcelona this summer, who played a key role in influencing his decision.
“I spoke with him while he was here last season and I know he really enjoyed it. He said a lot of lovely things about the club, about the family and the friendly environment it possesses,” Sancho said in his first interview as a Villa player.
