Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) has announced the launch of ‘RCB Cares’, a long-term support initiative, in the aftermath of the tragic stampede at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on June 4, 2025, which claimed the lives of 11 fans and left 56 others injured.
The incident occurred when thousands of supporters gathered in and around the stadium to celebrate RCB’s maiden IPL title victory. According to the Justice John Michael Cunha Commission report, “reckless announcements” regarding entry into the stadium and poor regulation at the gates were identified as the root cause of the tragedy.
