Arsenal defender Jakub Kiwior is set to join FC Porto after the Portuguese giants struck a full agreement with the Gunners over a transfer package worth up to €27 million. The deal, finalized after weeks of negotiations, includes a €2 million loan fee, a €17 million obligation to buy, and performance-related add-ons worth an additional €5 million. Arsenal have also secured a sell-on clause as part of the agreement

The Polish centre-back had been keen on a move to Porto since July, and his desire to switch to Portugal has now paid off. Kiwior is expected to travel within the next 24 hours to undergo medical tests and complete the formalities before being unveiled as a new Porto signing.

Kiwior joined Arsenal from Spezia in January 2023 for a fee in the region of €25 million. While he showed glimpses of promise under Mikel Arteta, competition for places in the heart of Arsenal’s defence limited his playing time.

With William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhães firmly established as the club’s first-choice pairing, opportunities for the Polish international were restricted.
