Kehlani Ashley Parrish, better known simply as Kehlani, is set to bring her soulful voice and magnetic stage presence to Lollapalooza India 2026 in Mumbai. Originally from Oakland, California, Kehlani first rose to fame as a member of the teen pop group PopLyfe back in 2011. But it was her solo journey that cemented her as one of the most influential R&B artists of her generation.
Kehlani’s rise to stardom
Her debut mixtape Cloud 19 (2014) was named one of Complex’s “50 Best Albums of 2014.” A year later, You Should Be Here (2015) debuted on the Billboard 200 and earned a Grammy nomination for Best Urban Contemporary Album. Signing with Atlantic Records gave Kehlani the launchpad to release her first studio album, SweetSexySavage (2017), which peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200.
She followed it with It Was Good Until It Wasn’t (2020), which climbed to No. 2, and Blue Water Road (2022), hailed for its intimate songwriting and artistic depth. Her most recent project, Crash (2024), peaked at No. 25 and showcased her evolution as an artist blending R&B, soul, and pop.
Kehlani’s latest hit ‘Folded’
Recently, Kehlani has been riding high with her single ‘Folded’, now the biggest solo hit of her career. Released on June 11, 2025, and produced by Andre Harris and D.K. the Punisher, the track has climbed to #35 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking her first-ever solo Top 40 entry.
