Liverpool are reportedly in discussions to sign Crystal Palace defender Marc Guéhi, with the deal expected to command a significant transfer fee. While no official confirmation has come from either club, multiple reports suggest that the Reds are pushing to strengthen their backline and have identified Guéhi as a key target.
The England international has been a standout performer for Palace since arriving from Chelsea in 2021. Known for his defensive awareness, leadership qualities, and composure on the ball, Guéhi has also established himself within Gareth Southgate’s England setup. His rise has not gone unnoticed, and Liverpool appear keen to bring him to Anfield as part of their long-term defensive rebuild.
It is believed that Palace would only sanction the move if they are able to secure a suitable replacement. The South London club are reluctant to lose one of their most consistent players midway through the campaign, but the sizeable fee being discussed could tempt them to negotiate.
For Liverpool, defensive reinforcements have become a priority, with Virgil van Dijk in the latter stages of his career and Joel Matip struggling with injuries in recent seasons. Adding a player like Guéhi could offer both immediate stability and a long-term solution at the heart of the defence.
