Century Enka Ltd has received approval from the Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) to continue operations at its NFY Spinning Plant located at Unit–Rajashree Polyfil in Bharuch, Gujarat. This update comes after a series of regulatory steps following the fire incident earlier this year.

The company had earlier informed the exchanges about three major developments – the fire accident reported on 27th February 2025, the interim fire accident environment compensation of ₹36 lakh and a bank guarantee requirement of ₹2.5 lakh imposed on 18th April 2025, and finally the conditional approval granted by the GPCB on 22nd June 2025 to restart the plant in phases.

According to the latest communication, an authorised GPCB officer inspected the Rajashree Polyfil unit on 29th July 2025 to review compliance with the Consolidated Consent and Authorisation (CCA) under the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. The inspection report, issued on 22nd August 2025, confirmed that the unit is adhering to the stipulated CCA conditions as well as the notarized undertakings submitted by the company.

With the compliance status found satisfactory, GPCB has permitted Century Enka to continue operations at the NFY Spinning Plant while directing the unit to strictly follow applicable CCA conditions going forward.
