Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd (GRSE) has reported a strong performance for the quarter ended June 30, 2025, with both revenue and profit posting solid year-on-year (YoY) growth.

Revenue from operations in Q1 FY26 stood at ₹1,309.87 crore, compared to ₹1,009.72 crore in the same quarter last year, marking a robust 29.7% rise. Total income, including other income, reached ₹1,382.42 crore, up 27.5% from ₹1,083.59 crore in Q1 FY25.

On the profitability front, GRSE’s net profit for the quarter came in at ₹120.18 crore, up 37.8% from ₹87.19 crore a year ago. Profit before tax rose to ₹166.72 crore from ₹115.44 crore, showing a 44.4% YoY jump, backed by improved operational performance and higher project execution.

The company also saw a rise in expenses, with total expenditure increasing to ₹1,215.70 crore from ₹968.15 crore last year, driven mainly by higher material costs and sub-contracting charges.

The strong order book and ongoing defence projects are expected to support revenue visibility for the coming quarters, as the company continues to focus on timely deliveries and operational efficiencies.

In the meantime, Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers’ shares traded in a narrow range today, opening at ₹2,546 and touching a high of ₹2,559 before slipping to a low of ₹2,475. The stock had closed at ₹2,547.10 in the previous session. Over the past year, Garden Reach has delivered impressive returns, moving from a 52-week low of ₹1,184.90 to a high of ₹3,538.40.
