Tata Motors Ltd. reported total sales of 69,131 units for July 2025, registering a 4% year-on-year decline compared to 71,996 units sold in July 2024. While commercial vehicle (CV) sales provided some cushion, passenger vehicle (PV) numbers dragged overall performance.
Commercial Vehicle Segment Performance:
Tata Motors sold 28,956 CV units in July 2025, marking a 7% year-on-year growth from 27,042 units in the same month last year. This included:

Passenger Vehicle Segment Highlights:
The PV segment, however, saw an 11% YoY decline, with total PV sales (domestic + international) at 40,175 units, compared to 44,954 units in July 2024. Domestic PV sales fell 12% to 39,521 units, down from 44,725 units.
The silver lining came from the electric vehicle (EV) category, which posted its highest-ever monthly sales with 7,124 units, growing 42% YoY.
