Ashok Leyland Ltd., India’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturer, posted an 8% year-on-year (YoY) growth in total vehicle sales (domestic + exports) for July 2025, with total units sold rising to 15,064 compared to 13,928 units in July 2024.
Key Highlights – July 2025 Sales Performance:
- Total M&HCV Sales: 9,529 units, up 13% YoY from 8,440 units
- M&HCV Trucks: 6,667 units (↑4%)
- M&HCV Buses: 2,862 units (↑42%)
- Total LCV Sales: 5,535 units, a modest increase of 1% from 5,488 units
- Domestic Sales: 13,501 units vs. 12,926 units in July 2024, reflecting a 4% growth
- Domestic M&HCV Trucks: 6,518 units (↑4%)
- Domestic M&HCV Buses: 1,627 units (↑14%)
- Domestic LCVs: 5,356 units (↑2%)
- Cumulative Sales (April–July 2025):
- Total (Domestic + Exports): 59,302 units (↑3%)
- Total Domestic: 54,728 units (flat YoY)
The robust performance in M&HCV buses, especially with a 42% jump in combined domestic and export sales, significantly contributed to the overall monthly growth. While LCV sales remained largely steady, consistent volume growth in heavy-duty trucks also supported momentum.
