Bayern Munich have finally reached an agreement with Liverpool for Luis Diaz. The star winger will play for the Bundesliga giants as the deal has been agreed between the sides. The player is also very much keen to join the side. The four year deal will end in June 2029 and the €75 million package has been accepted by LFC for the player. But with Diaz coming in, how the Vincent Kompany’s side will line-up next season (2025/26).
With Díaz arriving, the biggest question is how Bayern will line up in the 2025/26 season. The Bavarians have traditionally deployed a 4-2-3-1 setup since the iconic days of Arjen Robben and Franck Ribéry.
For now, Kompany is expected to stick to the trusted 4-2-3-1. Michael Olise’s positioning remains a puzzle, but his inclusion in the starting XI is almost certain. Young goalkeeper Urbig is also set to get league minutes for his development, meaning Manuel Neuer will be reserved for key matches.
A potential lineup could see Luis Díaz operating as a central playmaker in the No. 10 role, playing just behind Harry Kane in attack. This would give Bayern a dynamic forward line, combining Kane’s finishing with Díaz’s creativity and pace, while Kingsley Coman or Leroy Sané could take up the wide positions.
