Wrestling legend Ric Flair has penned a heart-wrenching tribute to his longtime friend and fellow icon Hulk Hogan, who passed away at the age of 71. In a deeply personal post on social media, Flair expressed his devastation and recounted the unwavering friendship they shared through decades in and out of the ring.
“I am absolutely shocked to hear about the passing of my close friend @HulkHogan,” Flair wrote. “Hulk has been by my side since we started in the wrestling business. An incredible athlete, talent, friend, and father!”
Flair recalled how Hogan was always there for him—without being asked. He emotionally shared that Hulk was one of the first people to visit him in the hospital when he had only a 2% chance of survival, and even prayed by his bedside.
“Hulk also lent me money when Reid was sick,” Flair revealed, referring to his late son. “Hulkster, no one will ever compare to you! Rest in peace, my friend!”
