Suzlon Energy Limited announced that the Madras High Court has quashed a penalty order of ₹1.18 crore earlier imposed by the Office of the Commissioner of CGST and Central Excise, Chennai North Commissionerate.

In a regulatory filing, Suzlon informed that the High Court order was dated 21st July 2025 and was received by the company on 22nd July 2025.

The penalty, amounting to ₹1,18,39,093, was originally levied by the Joint Commissioner of CGST and Central Excise, as intimated by Suzlon in its earlier disclosure on 28th February 2025. The company subsequently filed a Writ Petition challenging the order in the Honourable High Court of Judicature at Madras.

The High Court has now set aside the penalty order, providing relief to the company.

Suzlon stated that this update is being shared for the information of shareholders and the public at large.
