Bruno Fernandes has released a statement regarding the Saudi move for which he was in the media for few days. There were reports that the Man United’s captain is considering leaving the club to join Al Hilal who is offering them a huge deal. However, he has officially rejected it and also made a comment about it.

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has officially addressed the recent speculation linking him with a sensational move to Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal. The Portuguese midfielder was reportedly the subject of a lucrative offer from the Saudi giants, sparking rumours of a potential Old Trafford exit.

However, Fernandes has now put those rumours to rest with a firm statement rejecting the move. Speaking on the matter, he said:

“There was an opportunity, Al Hilal president called me, but I rejected. They were waiting for me, then I spoke to Amorim (Man United’s manager) and decided not to go. Man United didn’t want to sell me.”

As reported by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the 30-year-old confirmed he was contacted directly by Al Hilal but chose to remain at Manchester United after discussions with new manager Rúben Amorim.

Fernandes’ decision to stay comes as a relief to the Red Devils’ faithful, especially with the club preparing for a crucial season under new leadership.
