Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a global IT services and consulting firm, has entered a five-year partnership with Finnish telecommunications provider DNA to advance DNA’s cloud transformation efforts.
Under this agreement, TCS will lead the migration of up to 80% of DNA’s enterprise applications to the public cloud by 2030. The partnership builds on a 17-year collaboration between the two companies and aims to improve customer experience, operational efficiency, and cost savings.
As part of DNA’s ‘Journey to the Cloud’ initiative, TCS will use its proprietary tools, TCS Cloud Counsel and TCS Migration Factory on Google Cloud, to automate and streamline application migration. In the initial phase, over 100 applications will be moved to Google Cloud within 24 months. To manage this at scale, TCS will set up a dedicated Cloud Migration Factory at its nearshore delivery center in Portugal.
DNA is a major telecommunications provider in Finland, offering mobile, broadband, fixed-line, and television services. It has approximately 3.7 million subscriptions across its networks and is part of the Telenor Group.
TCS’s Communications, Media, and Information Services unit has more than 25 years of experience, serving customers in 45 countries from over 105 delivery locations. TCS supports over one billion subscribers worldwide, covering modernization, network operations, IT, and support systems.
With a strong presence in the Nordic region since 1991 and over 20,000 employees across Finland, Sweden, Norway, and Denmark, TCS continues to support digital transformation initiatives for leading enterprises in the region.
