Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has secured a major add-on Advance Purchase Order (APO) from Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) worth ₹2,903.22 crore, inclusive of taxes. The order, received on May 20, 2025, includes planning, engineering, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and annual maintenance of BSNL’s 4G mobile network across 18,685 sites.
This APO builds upon a previous agreement between the two companies and marks a critical step in the national telecom operator’s push to expand its 4G footprint across India. The order underlines the growing importance of public-private collaboration in strengthening the country’s digital infrastructure.
TCS noted that the detailed purchase orders will be issued by BSNL subject to fulfillment of documentation and conditions mentioned in the APO.
This deal adds to TCS’s growing portfolio in the telecom domain and is seen as a significant revenue driver, especially in light of India’s rapid digitization and the strategic importance of 4G and upcoming 5G infrastructure.
