Jupiter Wagons Limited reported a standalone net profit of ₹97.3 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2025, marking a 6.6% decline compared to ₹104.2 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. The drop in profit comes despite stable margins and tax expenses, indicating a contraction in top-line performance.

Revenue from operations dropped 10% year-on-year to ₹1,002 crore in Q4 FY25, down from ₹1,113 crore reported in the same quarter of the previous fiscal. Total income for the quarter stood at ₹1,011 crore, also down 9.9% YoY from ₹1,121 crore.

Total expenses during the quarter decreased 10.5% YoY to ₹879.3 crore, compared to ₹982.8 crore in Q4 FY24. Material costs, which constitute the bulk of expenses, dropped to ₹770 crore from ₹854.7 crore in the year-ago period. However, finance costs and depreciation increased slightly on a YoY basis.

Profit before tax for the quarter stood at ₹131.4 crore, compared to ₹138.5 crore in Q4 FY24. Tax expenses were slightly lower at ₹34.1 crore versus ₹34.3 crore in the same quarter last year.

For the full fiscal year 2025, Jupiter Wagons posted a 12.1% increase in net profit at ₹373 crore, up from ₹333 crore in FY24. Revenue for the year rose 6.3% to ₹3,870.6 crore compared to ₹3,641.3 crore in FY24.
