In the Hathras Gangrape Case, 19 charges have been filed by the police including seduction, conspiracy, inciting caste divides, religious discrimination, doctoring electronic evidence & violation of COVID-19 protocols by the Epidemic Act.
UP CM Yogi Adityanath said “Those who do not like development, they want to incide caste & communal rivots in the country and the state, wanting to slop our development”.
Four men gangraped a 19 year old girl in the Hathras district of Utter Pradesh.
The man dragged her away by the neck break her spinal cord in this incident.
The victim’s mother said “Sandeep & luvkush had been harassing her & her now deceased daughter”.
The girl was admitted to the Jawaharlal Nehru medical College hospital Aligard for treatment but her condition had worsened to such an extent that while they shifted her to the Safdarjung hospital in Delhi for better treatment, on the night of 28 September, she succumbed to her wounds.
After this incident family filed an FIR against the four men but on the first 10 days itself no one was arrested by the police in the district.
After the victim’s death, the police cremated the victim without any consent or information from her family, which included performing the last rites.
The case and its subsequent handling has been received by the media as a morally disruption of human life and has been bought to the attention of many social activists from across the country who were protesting against the CM of UP, Yogi Adityanath and his government of Uttar Pradesh. Opposition organisations have also showed support to the people.
A Senior police officer claimed that no semen traces were found in the collected sample as per the forensic report.
The Hathras police have arrested Sandip, Ramu, Luvkush & Ravi on charges of attempt to murder, gang rape & violation of the cast in act 1989.
In this incident the congress and the opposition party are creating a mist of accusation blaming the government for not providing safety for girls.
