Talks between the Director Generals of Military Operations (DGMOs) of India and Pakistan regarding the recent ceasefire understanding have been postponed to later this evening, sources told CNBC-TV18. The discussions, initially slated for earlier in the day, are now expected after 4 PM IST.

This development comes after both sides agreed to halt military action from 5 PM on Saturday, May 10, following intensified cross-border tensions. India’s DGMO, Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai, confirmed during a joint Armed Forces briefing on May 11 that over 100 terrorists were neutralized in Operation Sindoor—targeted strikes on terror infrastructure inside Pakistan.

Lt Gen Ghai clarified that India’s actions were strictly against terror groups and not aimed at the Pakistani military, but noted that continued provocations compelled India to respond.

In a related development, 32 airports that had been closed amid escalating conflict have now been reopened. A new Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) has been issued, formally lifting the airspace restrictions imposed during the hostilities.

Meanwhile, India’s political leadership convened a high-level meeting at the Prime Minister’s residence, where key strategic decisions were taken ahead of the DGMO talks. The Indian side is expected to communicate a firm stance during the upcoming discussions.
