Fazilka, Punjab — The Fazilka District Administration has issued a public safety notice on Saturday evening urging residents to remain calm and cooperative in case of any blackout enforced during the night.
In the official statement released at 5:45 PM on May 11, authorities clarified that blackouts are precautionary measures carried out for the safety of civilians, particularly in response to any signs of external threats. “Minimal lighting should be used during nighttime, and if instructed, all lights must be turned off as done previously,” the administration advised.
Residents are urged not to panic and to remain indoors during such periods. The Deputy Commissioner’s office also acknowledged and appreciated the cooperation shown by the public in recent days amid ongoing national security concerns.
